Max and the Millions
This tale isn’t very comically funny, but more physically funny. Havoc caused in the book creates a lighthearted atmosphere and whilst it also embodies features of a young adult novel, it will surely coax out a laugh. The book explores worlds beyond your wildest dreams and will definitely expand your creativity. Max and his glitter-mad accomplices, glue, glitter and scream their way through ruining their new principal’s reputation. With the offhand writing style and artistic descriptions, it is quite easy to visualise each scene before it happens, along with each character before they multiply. Max spends his days with a continuously multiplying set of tiny organisms that talk, walk and love to spend time with Max. As for his glittery employees, those were his sister and her friends who were only too happy to trash their new teacher, as long as they got candy in payment, also adding to the humour, and the havoc caused. To add to the theme of the book, it would be extremely funny to munch on mini vanilla cupcakes as you eat!
